Request for Removal of a Court Order
There may come a time when you want to dispute a record that’s inside the Openroom Court Order Search Engine.
To do this, you can use the Dispute Form.
To file a dispute, you will need to prepare…
✓ Email address we can contact you at
✓ The Court Order file number
✓ Details about the inaccuracy of the current record
✓ Documentation to support your claim

It is important to know that Openroom does not remove or delete records to preserve the integrity and transparency of the public information we hold unless it is for a subset of reasons listed below.
We are on a mission to help everyone in the rental ecosystem make better decisions.
Occasions when Openroom will remove records
“I don’t want my name shown” / “I don’t want my address shown”
Court Orders are public documents and as long as it is the original documentation, it will not be taken down.
Even if you are a party to the order, we do not accept requests to “take it down”.
“There are inaccuracies in the order, take it down”
It is the Tribunal or Court’s responsibility to get the details accurate to the case at hand.
When there are inaccuracies, you need to go back to the Tribunals or Court to make amendments.
For example, in Ontario, you can request for amendments within 30 days of issuance of the Landlord and Tenant Board Order. If you need an extension you can request for one.
